CRAFTMANSHIP
At Skovhuus Strik (Skovhuus Knitwear) we have long and proud traditions when it comes to the craftmanship in knit-production. Eventhough it is machines that does a big part of the work, hands with know-how is essential.
At Skovhuus we deciede to keep traditions alive by keeping a big part of our production in Denmark with our own productions facilities. Our machines work aorund the clock most of the week. We have our own in-house seamtress and patterndesigner, that makes sure everything is en shape. Due to this, we can make most of pur first-samples in-house in Denmark. We are close to the knitwear deisgn from the very beginning and can get all the details in the final product.
When the first-samples are up to all our stadnards, we can start our production. A large part of our collections are knitted and pressed in Birk (Denmark), whereafter we ship it of to Poland to our partner thourghout many yars. They make sure the knit is cut, sewn, pressed and quality-checked. Thereafter th finished blouse is shipped back to Denmark where it all started.
KNOW-HOW
Have you tried to sit at home with the knitting needles in your own hands? Then you know that knit is a flexible textile where many parameters some into play. Both knitting strength, thickness of needles, yarn type, pattern, etc. must be taken into account. We more or less have the same parameters when we knit on our machines. But instead of two needles working back and forth, we have machines with thousands of needles where the yarn runs across. These machines require a great deal of know-how and it takes many years of experience to manage the many parameters that ultimately give the well-known Skovhuus knitwear.
As we have a great deal of know-how and are close to the machines, we have great flexibility in our production - whether it is a different color yarn or a different type of rib. The setup of the "knitting pattern" itself takes place digitally and also requires many years of experience to manage.
We have continuously quality controls - right from the start of production until the blouse is finished in stock - we can control the quality throughout the entire system.
QUALITY
For us, quality is equally about the attention to detail, handfeel and durability. As we have our own production and a deep respect for the craftsmanship behind knitting, we use yarn in high quality, that keeps the color and shape, wash after wash. We even have customers who have had their Skovhuus' knitwear for over 10 years - and we are proud of that!

DANISH DESIGN
The development of a knit always start with our talented designers, that makes two collection every year, The Spring/Summer collection is in light yarns and fresh colours, that are perfect for a cool summer outfit. The Autumn/Winter Collection is in warmer yarns - such as wool blends - and the colours is in soft and earthy tones. We also have our Orgnaic Cotton by Skovhuus collection, where we make new style and re-launch our basic knitwear in new colours. The designteam develops the new collections from scratch which requires trendinsight, inspiration and a close collaboration with our suppliers aswell as our salesteam.
Our Designers created the new collection by taken on inspirational tripes around Europe, where they garther trends from the international fashion scene, and the colours and movements that surrounds us. With new inspiration and the wellknown Skovhuus DNA new collections are made, so you can find THAT new favourite knit.
